The Ops Con is a global community dedicated to supporting veterans and Blue Light Service members as they transition to civilian life. We provide world-class training, career opportunities, and a supportive network to help individuals build successful careers in private security, hospitality, and professional driving.

The Ops Con is primarily designed for veterans and Blue Light Service leavers (police, fire, ambulance, and emergency services). However, we welcome anyone who may benefit from our support, training programmes, and community resources.

The Ops Con operates as a community-driven organisation with partnerships across the security and hospitality industries. A portion of membership fees (10%) is donated to the Armed Forces Covenant Trust (AVC) to support veterans' causes.

We provide comprehensive support including: access to industry-leading training courses, connections with our 25+ partners for employment opportunities, a global network of professionals, exclusive discounts on training and certification, and ongoing career guidance and mentorship.

There are two plans. Operator is free: the full jobs board (view employers and apply directly), your operator profile, document upload when you apply, saved jobs and job alerts. Operator Pro is £9.99 a month or £99.99 a year (two months free) and adds member pricing on courses and the store, a free CV writing service, invoicing, expenses and tax tools, a document vault, members-only events and the members' WhatsApp group, and, for members who truly need it, the chance to apply for a fully funded Academy place (Annual members straight away, Monthly members after 12 months).

Operator Pro members can apply for a fully funded Academy place. Annual members can apply straight away; monthly members can apply after 12 consecutive months. Operator Pro also gives member pricing on every course, whichever provider runs it, including the Academy, Ronin SA, The Principal Protocol and Belgraves of London.

Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time. Monthly memberships can be cancelled before your next billing cycle. Annual memberships are non-refundable but you'll retain access for the full year. Please note that cancelling may affect your Academy eligibility.

Operator Pro members get: a public, shareable profile with video; invoicing, expenses and tax tools and a deployments calendar; a document vault; discounts on every course and member pricing across the store; exclusive workshops and a monthly micro-guide; the members-only WhatsApp group, events and webinars with priority booking; quarterly impact reports and the monthly intelligence briefing. 10% of your fee is donated to the AVC (Afghanistan Veterans Community).

We offer three main training pathways: Close Protection (5-week CPC certification course in South Africa with Ronin SA); The Principal Protocol (a 4-hour session delivered by The Ops Con in London and online); Advanced & Security Driving (8 days over 2 weeks in Sutton, London, with Belgraves of London, including ROSPA assessment). We also offer a standalone 6-week CMAC course. All courses offer member discounts.

Requirements vary by course. The Close Protection course welcomes both experienced security professionals and those new to the industry. The Principal Protocol is suitable for all levels. The Advanced Driving course requires a valid UK driving licence. Military and emergency services experience is valued but not always required.

Ronin SA offers SIA-approved Close Protection certification, The Ops Con's Principal Protocol provides industry-leading hospitality credentials, and Belgraves of London delivers ROSPA-assessed advanced driving qualifications.
