SIA Fees Rose On 1 June - And The Multi-Licence Discount Just Got Tighter

ACS firms now pay GBP 25 per deployed officer, up from GBP 15, and the 50% discount on a second licence only applies if you apply same day, same form. Operators holding more than one badge feel it directly.

SIA Fees Rose On 1 June - And The Multi-Licence Discount Just Got Tighter

New SIA fees took effect on 1 June 2026, after the Home Office laid the statutory instrument on 27 April. Two changes matter most.

First, the Approved Contractor Scheme annual fee rose from GBP 15 to GBP 25 per licensable individual deployed. For firms running large rosters, that adds up fast and feeds straight into contract pricing.

Second, the 50% discount on an additional individual licence has been narrowed. It now applies only if the second application is made on the same day, on the same form. Apply later and you pay full price. The SIA's reasoning is that each application means a fresh round of background checks.

For operators, the discount change is the sting. If you hold or plan to hold more than one licence, close protection plus door supervision for example, line the applications up together. Stagger them and the saving disappears. Managers pricing ACS-covered work should fold the higher per-head fee into their numbers now.
