Scott’s Story | Mission Success
After a distinguished 24-year career in the British Army, Scott Cox MVO set out to do what many find the most challenging part of service: to transition well.
During his transition, Scott invested deliberately in his professional development, completing the RONIN SA® Close Protection Course, the Dorchester Collection Academy Hospitality Masterclass, and Frontier Risks’ SRMC®. He retrained into the close protection and private security sector and moved directly into civilian employment, applying the leadership, discipline and professionalism forged during his military career.
Since then, Scott has continued to progress, and we are pleased to share that he has secured the role of Chief Operating Officer within the private security sector. It is a significant achievement and a clear marker of a successful transition completed.
This is exactly what mission success looks like.
As Scott continues to focus on building this next chapter of his career, he has taken the decision to step aside from the role of Sergeant Major at The Ops Con, making space for a changing of the guard and for the role to be carried forward by someone able to dedicate the time and presence it deserves.
“During my time as Ops Con Sergeant Major, I focused on preparing for life beyond uniform, investing in retraining and building my network to transition successfully into civilian employment.
With hard work, commitment and the right support, the process does work. For those on the path to civvy street, I would encourage you to tap into The Ops Con community and make the journey a little easier.
Good luck to everyone starting their own transition.
Ops Con Sergeant Major – Out. 🫡”
We wish Scott every success as he continues to build the next chapter of his career. His journey reflects exactly what The Ops Con is about: supporting one another to succeed in life after service.
Further details on the changing of the guard will follow. Standards endure. The mission continues.
