About This Course

Suitable for anyone aged 14+ who might need to provide first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill at work. Ideal where a first aid needs assessment has identified a requirement for a current Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. This one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Delivered as a blended package of 1–2 hours of pre-course e-learning plus a 4-hour face-to-face classroom session (08:30–12:30). Each learner receives a complimentary training pack.

Roles and responsibilities of the first aider

Accident recording and reporting

Assessing and monitoring a casualty

Managing an unconscious casualty (breathing and non-breathing)

CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
