About This Course
A minimum requirement to obtain the SIA Close Protection Licence, and ideal for Door Supervisors and Security Officers wishing to enhance their first-aid knowledge. Suitable for anyone aged 14+ needing to provide first aid at work. Delivered as a blended package of 6 hours of e-learning plus 2 days of face-to-face classroom sessions (09:00–16:00), with group sizes limited to 12. Each learner receives a training pack.
What You'll Learn
Roles and responsibilities of the first aider; recording and reporting
Assessing and monitoring a casualty; CPR and AED use
Choking, bleeding, shock and minor injuries
Secondary surveys; injuries to bones, muscles and joints
Head, spinal and chest injuries; burns, scalds and eye injuries
Electrical incidents, poisoning, anaphylaxis and seizures
Recognition of major illness (heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes)
