About This Course

The Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety (formerly the L2 NVQ) is for those employed or seeking employment as a Crowd Safety Steward, Response Security Officer or Event Support. It aligns with the Skills Active Spectator Safety National Occupational Standards, the recommended minimum in the SGSA's Green Guide for Safety at Sports Grounds, and is a mandatory requirement to work in stadiums such as St Mary's, the Ageas Bowl, Twickenham and Wembley. Delivered as 73 guided learning hours of e-learning plus a minimum of 2 days of practical observation assessments (which include a work/industry placement).
