About This Course
The First Aid at Work (FAW) course is a comprehensive three day training programme designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills required to respond effectively to workplace medical emergencies. This qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is suitable for individuals designated as workplace first aiders in higher risk environments such as construction sites, security operations, manufacturing facilities, hospitality venues, and offices. Learners will gain hands on experience in managing a wide range of medical incidents including cardiac arrest, unconscious casualties, severe bleeding, fractures, burns, and medical conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, asthma, and anaphylaxis. The course is highly practical, with extensive scenario based training to ensure delegates are confident in applying their skills in real world situations. Training is delivered in small groups to ensure every learner receives individual attention and practical coaching throughout the programme. Upon successful completion, delegates will receive the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work, which is valid for three years. Training takes place at The Ops Con HQ in London, providing a professional learning environment designed for practical training.
