Somalia: UNICEF said on 30 September that it is deeply concerned by reports that children have been killed and injured in recent clashes in Baidoa, South West State, and that reports indicate a health facility has been damaged. UK private security: the SIA updated its ACS guidance on 28 September to show the annual registration fee of £25 for each licensable individual deployed, up from £15, following the fee change that took effect on 1 June. Haiti: the UN Secretary-General condemned a reported gang attack on Monday 28 September in Gros-Morne, in the Artibonite department, which reportedly left at least 11 people dead, his spokesperson said on 30 September. He said the attack underscores the urgency of strengthening security efforts in Haiti, including through the full deployment of the Gang Suppression Force.
Abyei: the UN Interim Security Force for Abyei says 40 people were reportedly killed and more than 100 injured in violence at the Amiet Common Market on 15 September, an increase on the toll the UN gave on 17 September. The situation is now relatively calm but remains fragile, and the market has reopened after an agreement among local communities, according to the UN spokesperson's briefing on 30 September.
