The Security Industry Authority has opened a public consultation, running from 28 August to 23 October 2026, on wide-ranging changes to the qualifications behind an SIA licence, including new training content, a security-specific first aid qualification, an added English-language test and a proposed post-licence standard in advanced physical intervention.
